The Role
Caval are recruiting on behalf of a long-standing client for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Fitter to join their established team in Leyland.
This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a permanent position with a business offering strong long-term prospects and stability.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
- Completing inspections in line with DVSA standards
- Preparing vehicles for MOT
- Working on brakes, engines, gearboxes, and other key components
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years’ experience as an HGV Technician or HGV Fitter
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- Experience working on HGVs in a workshop environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures
- Relevant qualifications (NVQ/City & Guilds) desirable but not essential
