About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Welder Fabricator to join our busy workshop in Oldham. This is a stable, full‑time position working Monday to Friday on a day shift, ideal for someone confident in welding, fabrication and structural repair work.
You will be involved in the fabrication, repair and assembly of commercial vehicle bodies, trailers, steel structures and bespoke components.
Key Responsibilities
- Welding & fabrication using MIG/TIG on steel and aluminium
- Structural repairs on commercial vehicles and trailers
- Fabricating components from drawings and specifications
- Cutting, shaping and forming metal sections and panels
- Assembly work including brackets, frames, supports and body sections
- Workshop tooling including grinders, saws, welders and presses
- Ensuring all work meets safety, quality and structural standards
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Welder Fabricator
- Strong MIG/TIG welding skills
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings
- Confident using hand tools, power tools and fabrication equipment
- Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Ability to work independently and within a team
