ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE
We are looking for a dedicated, reliable, and hardworking Cleaning Operative to join our team at Eastgate Shopping Centre. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a professional team responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for visitors, retailers, and colleagues.
As a Cleaning Operative, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation are maintained throughout the centre. You will work as part of a supportive team, delivering both planned and reactive cleaning services to help create an exceptional customer experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the shopping centre.
- Clean and sanitise lifts, including stainless steel surfaces, lift doors, frames, runners, and mirrors.
- Sweep, mop, and maintain floor surfaces throughout public and back-of-house areas.
- Clean and sanitise washrooms and staff facilities, replenishing consumables as required.
- Empty waste bins and manage waste disposal in accordance with site procedures.
- Set up, maintain, and safely store cleaning equipment and materials.
- Monitor assigned areas and proactively address cleaning requirements.
- Respond promptly to spillages and other reactive cleaning tasks.
- Support Team Leaders and Supervisors to ensure service excellence is consistently delivered.
- Complete all required training and comply with Health & Safety procedures and company policies.
