Based in Darlington, we are seeking a motivated Van Mechanic to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining vans to keep our customer's vehicles running smoothly. Your mechanical expertise and hands-on skills will directly contribute to our company's success and customer satisfaction. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on vans, including oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, and fluid checks
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools, then execute effective repairs
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to disassemble, repair, or assemble vehicle components
- Conduct heavy lifting of parts and equipment safely during repair procedures
- Maintain detailed records of all repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used
Requirements
- Strong mechanical knowledge
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and equipment repair standards
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail when diagnosing issues
- Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and assist customers effectively
- Prior experience working on vans or similar vehicles is preferred but not required

Salary negotiable depending upon experience
Working hours - Monday to Friday 7.30am - 4.30pm Saturday mornings are negotiable
