Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging music lessons that cater to different age groups and skill levels.
- Teach music theory, instrumental techniques, and vocal skills.
- Prepare students for performances, assessments, and examinations.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation.
- Assess and evaluate student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback.
- Organise school concerts, recitals, and other musical events to showcase student talent.
- Collaborate with other educators to integrate music into the broader curriculum.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in music education and incorporate them into lessons.
Qualifications
- A degree in Music Education or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience teaching music in a classroom setting or private lessons is advantageous.
- Proficiency in playing one or more musical instruments or strong vocal skills.
- Strong knowledge of music theory and composition.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students effectively.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of all ages and backgrounds.
- Patience, creativity, and adaptability in teaching methods.
