SEN Teaching Assistant – September Start
Fusion Staffing is currently recruiting for a caring, dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Southwark from September.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping every pupil reach their full potential. You will work closely with teachers and the wider support team to provide personalised support in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with additional needs
- Assist pupils with their learning, communication and social development
- Support the implementation of individual learning and support plans
- Encourage positive behaviour and promote pupils' confidence and independence
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and other school staff
- Help create an inclusive, engaging and supportive classroom environment
About You
The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will have:
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a primary school setting
- A patient, caring and nurturing approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- A proactive and adaptable attitude
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
