The Retail Hive
The Retail Hive is a curated network of more than 2,000 senior retailers. We bring together leading brands to share ideas, exchange experiences and make better-informed decisions through peer-led insight. Everything we do is invitation-only, bringing together carefully selected participants and partners.
Our events range from intimate executive roundtables to large-scale gatherings of up to 1,000 attendees, supported by ongoing community discussions, insight guides and curated introductions.
We’re looking for an experienced Event Content & Speaker Manager to lead the content and stakeholder delivery across approximately 10 events within our retail programme.
Sitting at the intersection of conference production, event project management and partner delivery, you’ll take partner-led sessions from initial onboarding through to live delivery and post-event insight. You’ll shape engaging discussion formats, secure senior retail storytellers, manage partner and speaker relationships, coordinate multiple deadlines and help ensure every session delivers genuine value for our audience.
This role would be particularly well suited to:
- A Conference Producer who enjoys the organisational and delivery side of events, including speaker acquisition, sponsor management, project timelines and on-site execution; or
- An experienced Event Manager who wants greater ownership of content, speakers and senior stakeholder relationships
This is not an entry-level coordination role. You’ll be trusted to manage multiple event workstreams independently, communicate confidently with senior stakeholders and take accountability for the quality and timely delivery of each session.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in conference production, content-led events, event management or a closely related role
- Experience independently managing multiple event workstreams and competing deadlines
- Confidence working directly with senior speakers, clients, sponsors and external partners
- Experience identifying, securing and briefing speakers, facilitators or discussion contributors
- Strong event project-management skills, with the ability to take a session from initial concept through to on-site delivery
- The judgement to shape and improve content—not simply coordinate submissions
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail
- Confidence working on-site and responding calmly when plans change
- A collaborative, accountable approach and a strong sense of ownership
- An interest in retail, eCommerce and the challenges facing senior industry leaders
The Role
This role sits at the heart of our event execution. You’ll be responsible for coordinating partners, shaping session content, and ensuring everything runs smoothly in the lead-up to and during our events.
You’ll work across approximately 10 industry retail events per year, owning the content, speaker and partner journey for each event, working closely with colleagues responsible for venue, logistics, community and commercial delivery and managing timelines, communications, and content quality from onboarding through to post-event output.
