Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 11+ Tutor to support students preparing for their entrance examinations. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for teaching and a strong understanding of the 11+ curriculum. This role involves delivering engaging lessons, fostering confidence in students, and helping them achieve their academic goals. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver tailored tuition sessions focused on the 11+ examination syllabus
- Assess individual student needs and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
- Provide clear explanations of complex concepts in Maths, English & Creative Writing.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to both students and parents
- Develop practice exercises and mock tests to prepare students effectively for exams
- Create a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and confidence
- Maintain organised records of lesson plans, attendance, and student progress
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student development
Skills
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, particularly with children or young learners
- Strong knowledge of the 11+ curriculum and examination requirements
- Excellent communication skills to clearly convey concepts and motivate students
- Experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable
- Organised with the ability to plan lessons effectively and manage time efficiently
- Patient, empathetic, and able to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles
- Passionate about education and committed to helping students succeed
