Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 4.00pm (35 hours per week including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break each day, equating to 32.5 paid hours per week).
Job Overview
We currently have an opportunity for a hard-working and reliable Warehouse Operative to join our team in Sandbach. As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll work to ensure the smooth flow of goods through the warehouse. Your role will include, picking orders from stock, building pallets ready for network dispatch, packing and shipping courier orders, unloading incoming stock and general warehouse duties to meet operational requirements. We prioritize safety, accuracy, individual productivity, team contributions and operational excellence in all areas. Our warehouse environment is inclusive, friendly, hardworking and hands on.

Key Responsibilities:
- Picking and packing orders from stock
- Building up mixed pallet orders ready for dispatch
- Securely packing courier orders for daily collection
- Use of Warehouse Management System to process orders
- Perform quality control checks before dispatch
- Loading and unloading deliveries
- Manual unloading of container deliveries
- Replenishing inventory levels by restocking shelves and storage areas
- Ensuring all goods are stored safely and securely in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Maintaining clean and organised picking bays, packing areas and yard locations
- Accurately recording inventory levels and completing stock checks as required
- Operating warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks, forklifts and Bendi trucks (training may be provided where required).
- Occasional use of company delivery van for local deliveries and collections
- Assisting with other warehouse duties as required
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a warehouse or similar environment
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
- Able to work independently and at a consistent rate to meet order quantities
- Good numerical and literacy skills, with the ability to accurately input and record data
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy
- Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy loads
- A willingness to work flexible hours as required during busy periods
- A valid forklift licence (desirable but not essential, opportunity to train for a license)
