The Albany Theatre is Coventry’s professional community theatre, presenting a vibrant programme of theatre, music, comedy, and community activity.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and people-focused Team Leader to lead and support our Duty Managers and volunteer teams, ensuring a warm welcome, safe environment, and excellent experience for every visitor.
This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You’ll play a key role in shaping our front-of-house culture, supporting staff and volunteers, and helping deliver exceptional events and performances.
Responsibilities:
- Leading and motivating Duty Managers and volunteers
- Managing recruitment, onboarding, training, and rotas
- Acting as Designated Safeguarding Officer (training can be provided)
- Supporting day-to-day front-of-house operations and customer experience
- Overseeing volunteer engagement, wellbeing and recognition
- Managing bar operations, including stock, suppliers, and compliance
- Ensuring high standards of health & safety and operational compliance
We’re looking for someone with:
- Experience leading teams in a customer-facing environment
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Experience in recruitment, training, or rota management
- A proactive approach to customer service and problem-solving
- Understanding of safeguarding, health & safety, and compliance
- Experience in bar or hospitality operations (desirable)
