We are looking for an organised, accurate and enthusiastic Data Team Assistant to join our growing team within a successful prestige automotive parts company.
Automotive knowledge or a strong passion for cars is essential for this role. You should either have previous experience within the automotive industry or be a genuine automotive enthusiast with a strong interest in cars, parts and how vehicles work. You do not need to have previous experience working with automotive data or product systems — we are happy to teach the right person from the ground up. What matters most is your enthusiasm for the automotive industry, willingness to learn and your ability to work accurately with data.
This role involves maintaining product information, pricing and catalogue data across our internal systems and website. You will work with price files, update online product listings, support SEO improvements and produce regular reports. You will also communicate with other departments to ensure that product and pricing information is accurate and up to date.
This position would suit an automotive enthusiast who enjoys working with data, has excellent attention to detail and is confident using Microsoft Excel and computer-based systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and update supplier price files using Microsoft Excel.
- Review pricing information and identify missing, incorrect or unusual data.
- Update product information on the company website and online catalogue.
- Create and amend product titles, descriptions, specifications and other listing information.
- Support SEO improvements across product listings, including keywords, page titles and meta descriptions.
- Add new products and update existing product records within internal systems.
- Carry out required system changes accurately and within agreed deadlines.
- Prepare, maintain and distribute regular reports.
- Monitor product data to ensure information is complete, consistent and accurate.
- Liaise with the Sales, Customer Service, Purchasing, Product, Warehouse teams on a daily basis.
- Respond to internal product-data and catalogue queries.
- Assist with resolving pricing, product information and website listing issues.
- Maintain accurate records of completed updates and outstanding work.
- Support additional data and catalogue projects when required.
Essential Requirements
- A genuine interest in cars and the automotive industry.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Confidence working with spreadsheets, reports and large amounts of data.
- Good general computer skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A reliable and methodical approach to work.
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience working with automotive parts or vehicle-related products.
- Experience maintaining an e-commerce website or online product catalogue.
- Knowledge of SEO and online product-listing best practices.
- Experience working with product-management, stock-control or ERP systems.
- Familiarity with Excel functions such as filters, sorting, formulas, lookups and data validation.
- An understanding of Porsche vehicles and parts would be advantageous, although not essential.

Pay: £28,089.10-£30,000.00 per year
