We are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a passion for transforming spaces through colour and design. This role involves working on various projects, from residential homes to commercial properties, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet client expectations. The ability to communicate effectively in English is essential for understanding project requirements and collaborating with clients and team members.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections.
- Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Select appropriate materials and colours based on client preferences and project specifications.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, maintaining attention to detail throughout the process.
- Communicate with clients to understand their vision and provide updates on progress.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Drive to various job sites as required, ensuring timely arrival and efficient work practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience in painting and decorating is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English with clients and team members.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous for travelling between job sites.
- Knowledge of different painting techniques and materials is desirable.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility in approach.
