Join our dynamic 24/7 Business Travel Team as a Business Travel Consultant, where your expertise will drive seamless travel experiences for our clients around the clock. In this energetic role, you will be the go-to professional for managing complex travel arrangements and providing exceptional customer service.

A typical day might include:
- Looking after our customers travel needs from first enquiry to travel completed by phone or email.
- Handling live customer travel issues outside of standard office hours to support travel needs.
- Providing a professional consultancy service for all clients, anticipating their needs and offering a range of value-added solutions to exceed their expectations.
- Booking a range of travel products and offer professional advice, inclusive of our specialist fares.
- Adapting to different priorities and clients
- Keeping up to date with Key Travel and travel sector changes, e.g. Crisis, industrial action.
- Using a Consultative Sales approach and following Best Practice
- Achieving and maintaining targets whilst working efficiently
- Regularly checking and actioning airline queue messages and monitor existing bookings on hold.
- Communicating effectively with other teams and departments to facilitate an environment of collaboration and support across the business.
- Exhibiting and encouraging a clear, simple communication style and acting as an ambassador for the corporate value system (impact, compassion and simplicity) and competency framework
- Exhibiting positive behaviour, acting as a team player to ensure the overall success of the team and the Operations function.
- Making new members of team feel welcome, knowledge sharing as appropriate.
- Actively contributing to achieve the SLA targets and team incentives.
- Engaging with team updates and participate in quarterly team meetings.
- Participating in team activities, providing support to team members as required.
- Assisting clients who may be calling for another team member who is busy.
- Maintaining the company standards for monthly booking checks and ticket book.
- Attending offered training to ensure all knowledge of airlines, fares, services, products and benefits thereof are kept fully up to date.
- Continually keeping fully abreast of airline contracts, routings and services.
- Ensuring all necessary actions are taken to reach and maintain SLA targets.
- Operating at a level of self-sufficiency and with self-direction when on shift.
- Proactively managing personal productivity, profitability and quality assurance targets to meet or exceed requirements.
Key experience and attributes:
Essential
- Native GDS experience (Amadeus preferred)
- High level of written and verbal communication skills who can deal with clients over the phone, emails and what’s apps
- Passion and experience in business or leisure travel
- Being an active, supportive, and flexible team member and contribute to the team performance
- Support and maintain a positive work environment
- Ability to work independently
- Resolution-focused who takes ownership of problems and sees them through to a successful conclusion
- Ability to multitask and adapt to an ever-changing environment
- Confident to take responsibility for your own professional development
Desirable
- Excellent fares knowledge including post ticketing changes and cancellations
- Excellent knowledge of the travel industry
Shifts are as follows: 38.5 average hours per week. Shift patterns are on an 8 week rotation basis, and can be discussed in more detail at interview.
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum
