Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Porter to join our busy culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen environment, ensuring smooth daily operations. Duties
- Washing, peeling, and preparing ingredients for cooking and service
- Cleaning dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment efficiently and to a high standard
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision
- Maintaining cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas in accordance with health and safety standards
- Supporting the kitchen team with organisation and stock rotation
- Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures
- Ensuring all health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or culinary environment is necessary
- Knowledge of food preparation and basic cooking skills is advantageous
- Familiarity with kitchen safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings and weekends if necessary
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills within the hospitality sector
