Job Overview
The Garner Hotel Chesterfield North is seeking a dedicated and experienced Hotel Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure an exceptional guest experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, maintaining high standards of service, and ensuring the smooth running of the hotel. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with strong leadership skills to contribute to the ongoing success of our establishment. You will be reporting to a Cluster General Manager on your operation.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all hotel departments, including front desk, housekeeping, and food & beverage services.
- Ensure high standards of guest service are consistently maintained and address any guest concerns promptly.
- Oversee staff recruitment, training, and performance management to foster a motivated and professional team.
- Manage daily operational activities, including reservations, billing, and inventory control.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and maximise revenue.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations across the hotel premises.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to ensure quality standards are met.
- Analyse financial reports and prepare budgets to optimise profitability.
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within the hospitality industry, ideally in a hotel environment.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
- Excellent guest service skills with a focus on delivering memorable experiences.
- Human resources knowledge including staff recruitment, training, and performance appraisal.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Knowledge of hospitality management systems and basic financial principles.
