E1 is one of London’s most renowned electronic music venues and event spaces. We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join our growing management team and help lead one of the busiest late-night operations in the capital.
You:
- Are passionate about the late night hospitality and club culture.
- Have strong practical knowledge of premises licensing, compliance, health and safety and fire safety.
- Have experience increasing revenue and implementing systems that improve efficiency and profitability.
- Understand the importance of protecting the venue’s premises licence and maintaining high operational standards.
- Communicate confidently with promoters, clients, contractors and local authorities.
- Have proven experience leading, developing and motivating large teams.
- Have an eye for talent and recruit people who thrive in a fast-paced late-night environment.
- Hold a Personal Licence.
- Are highly organised, commercially aware and lead by example.
- Are a genuine people person with strong leadership skills.
- Are happy working evenings, late nights, weekends and public holidays as part of the late-night hospitality industry.

The Role:
- Support the Head of Operations and General Manager in day to day operations.
- Manage live events in accordance with the premises licence, risk assessments, venue procedures and relevant legislation.
- Help maintain strong relationships with licensing authorities, responsible authorities and other local stakeholders.
- Work closely with promoters and clients to ensure event plans, staffing, timings and operational requirements are properly agreed and delivered.
- Oversee operational teams and contractors, including security, bars, welfare and medical provision, front of house, cloakroom and cleaning.
- Exceptional hospitality and guest experience standards.
- Ensure all aspects of business compliance.
- Staff recruitment for junior to mid seniority roles.
- Staff training and development.

Please note: This is a genuine nightlife role. Most shifts take place during evenings and overnight, particularly Thursday to Sunday, so applicants must be comfortable working late hours on a regular basis.
Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
