The Role
Key responsibilities will include:
Producing and amending detailed construction drawings and technical packages for residential developments.
Developing working drawing packages from planning approval through to construction.
Working closely with our in-house Architect and Engineers to ensure designs meet planning requirements, technical standards and company specifications.
Assisting with planning submissions, discharge of conditions and technical approvals.
Coordinating information with engineers, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors.
Carrying out site visits to gather information and resolve technical issues during construction.
Producing schedules and material quantities from approved CAD drawings.
Ensuring compliance with current Building Regulations, planning requirements and warranty provider standards.
Managing multiple projects simultaneously whilst meeting programme deadlines.
Skills & Experience
Essential
Minimum 3 years' experience in a residential housebuilding or architectural technician role.
Proficient in AutoCAD.
Experience producing working drawings for housing developments.
Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and residential construction methods.
Ability to accurately extract quantities and schedules from drawings.
Strong attention to detail and technical coordination skills.
Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
Revit experience.
Experience with planning submissions and technical approvals.
Knowledge of NHBC, Premier Guarantee or similar warranty standards.
Experience working for a residential developer or housebuilder.
