Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable General Labourer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting various outdoor and construction projects by performing a wide range of manual tasks. Duties
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, pruning, planting, and gardening to enhance outdoor environments.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and small machinery including excavators and irrigation systems to support construction and landscaping projects.
- Perform general site cleanup, debris removal, and material transportation to maintain a safe and organized work area.
- Support the setup and breakdown of construction sites, including digging trenches or preparing surfaces for installation or repairs.
- Conduct routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met.
- Collaborate with team members on various tasks requiring mechanical knowledge or horticultural expertise.
- Follow safety protocols diligently while working with power tools, machinery, and during outdoor landscaping activities.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction, landscaping, gardening, or horticulture is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and small machinery such as excavators are highly desirable.
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices including irrigation systems and general gardening techniques.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to safety procedures and willingness to adhere to company guidelines at all times.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards supporting project goals.
- Valid driver’s license may be an asset for transporting equipment or materials between sites.
