This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Sous Chef to join an established Ribble Valley venue with a renowned kitchen team and a strong reputation for quality. The food offering is focused on fresh, seasonal cooking, local ingredients and consistently high standards across a busy, high volume operation.
The role requires someone with experience working at 2 AA Rosette level or above, or within a kitchen operating to that same standard. You will need to bring strong technical ability, confidence under pressure and the leadership skills to support the Head Chef in maintaining quality, consistency and pace across every service.
This role would suit a Senior Sous Chef who enjoys being hands on, developing a brigade and contributing to seasonal menus. You will play a key part in leading the kitchen team, supporting daily operations, maintaining standards and helping continue the venue’s reputation for excellent food and guest experience.
This role does not provide accommodation, so you must be able to reliably commute or relocate to the area.

Senior Sous Chef Ideal Profile:

Proven experience as a Senior Sous Chef, Sous Chef or similar senior kitchen role

Minimum 2 AA Rosette level experience, or experience working to an equivalent standard

Strong background in fresh food kitchens with a focus on seasonal and local ingredients

Confident leading and motivating a kitchen team during busy services

Creative culinary skills with the ability to contribute to seasonal menu development

Strong decision making skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure

Excellent attention to detail across preparation, flavour, presentation and consistency

Commercially aware with a good understanding of stock, ordering, waste and kitchen performance
Senior Sous Chef Responsibilities:

Support the Head Chef with the smooth day to day running of the kitchen

Lead, mentor and motivate the kitchen team, supporting professional growth and high standards

Ensure dishes are prepared and presented to the required standard across every service

Maintain consistency, quality and pace within a busy, high volume kitchen environment

Contribute to seasonal menu planning, specials and creative food development
-
Manage inventory, ordering, stock control and waste reduction to support budget targets
-
Uphold excellent food safety, hygiene, allergen and kitchen cleanliness standards

Support staff scheduling, kitchen organisation and daily administrative duties

Respond to guest feedback where required and use it to support continuous improvement

Help create a positive, professional and quality focused kitchen culture
