Sous Chef
Working in a fresh produce, exciting Northumberland venue you will be passionate, dedicated & hard working. We aim for the highest standards at all times and are looking for a team player with the drive to push the team forward.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef with the overall running of a fast paced kitchen
- Manage stock levels in line with set targets
- Responsible for stock checking and ordering in the Head Chef's absence
- Contribute to menu development alongside the Head Chef
- Assist in the monitoring of food quality and hygiene standards
- Adhere to HACCP regulations at all times
The Person
- Monday - Sunday full availability required / 45 hours per week
- Must be able to reliably commute to The Highlander
- Have a genuine passion for food and high standards
- Strong knowledge of professional cooking techniques and food safety standards
- Be able to work under pressure in a busy kitchen
- Good knowledge of HACCP procedures and regulations
