Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and reliable Minibus Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting children to and from our after-school program, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the journey. Your enthusiasm and professionalism will help create a welcoming environment for both children and parents.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate the minibus on scheduled routes, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations
- Assist children with boarding and disembarking the vehicle, ensuring their safety at all times
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to maintain optimal mechanical condition and report any maintenance needs
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and children to coordinate pick-up and drop-off times
- Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle interior and exterior to ensure a pleasant environment
- Keep accurate records of routes, mileage, and any incidents or issues during transportation
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a secure transportation experience
Qualifications
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge for basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
- Excellent communication skills in English to interact confidently with children, parents, and staff
- Prior experience as a minibus or school bus driver is highly desirable
- Knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and best practices in passenger transportation
- Ability to stay alert, organized, and proactive during journeys

Pay: From £13.00 per hour
Experience:
- mini bus driving: 5 years (required)
- safeguarding: 3 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- enhanced DBS (required)
- Paediatric First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Safeguarding Certification (preferred)
