Female Personal Assistant / Carer (Driver Essential)

We are looking for a caring, reliable, and friendly Female Personal Assistant to support a 30-year-old woman with physical disabilities to live independently and enjoy a full and active life.
This is a rewarding one-to-one role where you’ll make a genuine difference every day. You’ll be supporting a friendly young woman who enjoys cooking, shopping, days out, and spending time in the community. We are looking for someone who is compassionate, dependable, and committed to promoting independence, dignity, and choice.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing personal care, including washing, dressing, and toileting.
- Supporting with medication and medication prompts.
- Assisting with meal preparation and cooking.
- Accompanying and supporting shopping trips, appointments, and community activities.
- Encouraging social, leisure, and recreational activities.
- Assisting with day-to-day living tasks as required.
- Providing occasional overnight support and some weekend cover.
Essential Requirements
- Female applicant (this is an occupational requirement due to the nature of the personal care involved).
- Full UK driving licence.
- Confident driver willing to drive the employer’s vehicle.
- Kind, patient, trustworthy, and dependable.
- Reliable with excellent timekeeping.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Respectful of privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
Experience (Desirable, Not Essential)
- Previous experience as a Personal Assistant, Support Worker, Care Assistant, or Carer is desirable but not essential.
- Experience supporting adults with physical disabilities would be an advantage but is not required.
- An Enhanced DBS certificate is preferred, although we are happy to support the successful applicant in obtaining one if needed.
- Full training and ongoing support will be provided to the right candidate.
