About the Role
We're looking for energetic, friendly and enthusiastic Play Assistants to help bring the Imagine That! experience to life.
As a Play Assistant, you'll be at the heart of the visitor experience, encouraging imaginative play, interacting with children and families, facilitating activities, and helping to create a fun, safe and welcoming environment throughout the attraction.
No two days are the same, and we're looking for people who are confident, outgoing and passionate about making family visits memorable.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming and engaging with children and families throughout their visit
- Encouraging imaginative play across our role-play areas and experiences
- Assisting with hands-on activities, workshops and demonstrations
- Maintaining a safe, clean and well-presented environment
- Monitoring play areas and ensuring visitor safety
- Supporting birthday parties, special events and school visits
- Answering visitor questions and providing excellent customer service
- Working closely with colleagues to deliver an outstanding guest experience
Essential Requirements
- A positive, friendly and approachable personality
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Confidence interacting with children and families
- Ability to work as part of a team in a busy environment
- Reliable, enthusiastic and proactive attitude
- Flexibility to work weekends, school holidays and peak visitor periods
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience working with children, families or in a customer-facing role
- Experience within leisure, attractions, hospitality, education, childcare or retail
- First Aid qualification
- Safeguarding awareness or training
