Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic Nursery Assistant/Nursery Cook to join our team.
Your job will mainly be based in the nursery classrooms with occasional kitchen duties. You will also be required to cover for the Nursery Chef in their absence. You will be a given a rota weekly.
We are not on a bus route so please ensure that you can reliably commute to work each day.
You must have a genuine passion for working with young children, the ability to follow instructions, have a pro-active attitude towards teamwork and be able to collaborate with fellow staff members.
You must also have a valid Food Hygiene Certificate and have experience of working in a kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide support support to children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Support the staff with daily routines, including meal times, sleep times, nappy changing, toileting and cleaning duties.
- Assist with kitchen duties
- Prepare and cook food for the nursery children in chef's absence.
- Maintain a clean and organised environment, ensuring that toys and resources are tidy, clean and safe.
- Assist with end of day cleaning
Pay: £12.71 per hour
