About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Solar PV Electrician to join our team at Anelec for a 2 week contract on a project in Telford you will be carrying out the installation, testing, and commissioning of domestic and/or commercial solar PV systems, battery storage, and EV charging equipment. You'll work as part of a small team delivering high-quality installations from first fix through to handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Install solar PV panels, mounting systems, and associated electrical equipment
- Wire, test, and commission inverters, batteries, and AC/DC isolators
- Carry out first and second fix electrical work related to solar installations
- Complete G98/G99 applications and other required documentation
- Ensure all work complies with BS 7671 (18th Edition) and MCS standards
- Diagnose and repair faults on existing solar PV and electrical systems
- Liaise professionally with customers, roofers, scaffolders, and other trades on site
- Complete handover documentation, certification, and paperwork accurately and on time
- Maintain a clean, safe, and tidy work site at all times
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent) and AM2 pass
- ECS Gold Card
- Current 18th Edition BS 7671 qualification
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong understanding of electrical safety and site health & safety practices
Desirable
- City & Guilds or BPEC Solar PV installation qualification
- Level 3 Battery Storage qualification
- NICEIC/NAPIT registration or experience working within an MCS-certified company
- Experience with specific inverter/battery brands (e.g. SolarEdge, Enphase, SMA, Tesla, Myenergi)
- Experience with EV charger installation
Pay: £25.00-£30.00 per hour
