The Nut Tree is looking for a Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. This is a great opportunity for someone starting out in their culinary career to learn from an experienced brigade in a busy, friendly kitchen.
What you'll be doing:
- Preparing ingredients and assisting section chefs with day to day food prep
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, safety and cleanliness at all times
- Supporting the smooth running of service during busy periods
- Learning and developing your skills across different sections of the kitchen
- Helping with stock rotation and storage
What we're looking for:
- A genuine passion for food and cooking
- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior chefs
- Ability to stay calm and work well under pressure
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Previous kitchen experience is a bonus but not essential - full training provided - apprentice program available
What we offer:
