Bar Supervisor | Full Time Position – JÖRO Restaurant
STARTING SALARY: £ (Hourly rate dependent on age and experience)
HOURS: Full Time | Including evenings and weekends

JÖRO is seeking a passionate, experienced and driven Bar Supervisor to join our Front of House leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within one of Sheffield's most acclaimed restaurants, helping to lead our bar operation whilst delivering exceptional guest experiences across our Michelin-starred restaurant and terrace.
Working closely with the Head of Drinks and Restaurant Managers, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the bar, lead by example during service, support the development of the team, and ensure consistently high standards across all aspects of the guest experience.

Your Role
As Bar Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the bar whilst maintaining the exceptional standards expected at JÖRO. You will help lead shifts, support and develop the team, and help create memorable experiences for every guest.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading bar service during busy periods while maintaining exceptional standards of hospitality.
- Opening and closing the bar and terrace, following all operational procedures.
- Supervising and motivating the bar team, leading by example throughout each shift.
- Training, coaching and developing new and existing team members.
- Ensuring all drinks are prepared and served consistently to specification.
- Maintaining excellent guest interaction and creating memorable experiences.
- Supporting restaurant service when required to ensure seamless service throughout the venue.
- Managing stock levels, stock rotation and wastage control.
- Maintaining the cleanliness, organisation and presentation of all bar areas.
- Ensuring all equipment is well maintained and reporting any maintenance issues.
- Upholding all food safety, hygiene and licensing regulations.
- Maintaining service standards in line with Michelin-level expectations.
- Supporting the Head of Drinks with menu development, supplier activations, training sessions and seasonal promotions.
- Assisting with staff rotas and daily operational planning when required.
What We're Looking For
- Previous supervisory experience within a quality-led bar or restaurant.
- Strong cocktail, wine, beer and spirits knowledge, with a passion for continually learning.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Calm, confident and proactive under pressure.
- Strong understanding of stock management and cost control.
- Professional appearance and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of food safety, licensing and health & safety procedures.
- A positive attitude with the ambition to grow within an award-winning hospitality business.
