We are looking to recruit a Kitchen Assistant for our nursing home in Rawtenstall.
Principle responsibilities:
- You will really get to know our residents and their preferences
- You will promote choice, dignity and respect at all times
Working as part of a team, duties include:
- Food preparation under the guidance of the chef
- Sweeping & mopping
- Washing up
- Keeping kitchen area clean (under counters, fridges, freezers ( daily and weekly cleaning schedule)
- Cleaning canopy filters and hood.
- Some light lifting required.
- Emptying bins.
- Taking rubbish/ cardboard to skips.
- Supplying carers with stock when required.
- Emptying food trolley of trays at meal times.
- Daily stocking up of store room
- Accepting / checking deliveries
- Putting away and stock rotation.

The role is for four days a week, working over 7 day rota pattern.
