Job Despription
We're a growing raw pet food manufacturer and retailer looking for someone reliable, organised and happy taking responsibility. This is a hands-on role in a small team where everyone gets stuck in. No two days are the same, so we're looking for someone who can keep things moving without needing to be constantly managed.
What you'll be doing
- Running the shop floor - serving customers and keeping the shop clean, organised and presentable.
- Processing online orders from start to finish, making sure they're picked, packed and ready to go on time.
- Handling customer enquiries by phone, email and in person, giving clear, helpful information and resolving issues where possible.
- Keeping customers updated if there's a delay or a problem with an order.
- Managing stock levels and inventory so we stay on top of what's coming in and going out without overordering or running short.
- Updating order records, spreadsheets and systems accurately.
- Organising customer collections and deliveries so everything is ready when it should be.
- Spotting jobs that need doing and getting on with them without waiting to be asked.
- Helping wherever needed to keep the business running smoothly.
What you'll need
- Comfortable using computers and happy learning new systems. Experience with WooCommerce or Shopify is a bonus, but not essential.
- Confident speaking to customers on the phone, by email and face to face.
- Organised, with good attention to detail and the ability to juggle several jobs at once.
- Genuinely hard-working. We notice when someone isn't pulling their weight, and we notice when they are.
- Able to work independently and take ownership of your role. We're not looking to micromanage anyone.
- Some understanding of dogs and raw feeding is a real advantage, but if you're willing to learn, we'll teach you.
The right person
This role suits someone who takes pride in doing a good job, communicates well and likes being part of a small team. If you're the sort of person who sees something that needs doing and gets on with it, you'll fit in well here.
