We're looking for an experienced, reliable and detail-focused domestic cleaner to join our growing team.
You'll receive full 1-to-1 shadow training and mentoring before working independently, giving you the skills and confidence to deliver an exceptional service to our regular clients.

You'll receive professional equipment, paid training, an e-bike, waterproof clothing, ongoing mentoring and opportunities to develop specialist cleaning skills while becoming part of a growing local business focused on making cleaning healthier for people and better for the environment.
Working Schedule & Hours
Your typical day will include 2 cleaning visits, usually lasting 2–3 hours each, with paid travel time between clients and a quick 5-minute equipment check at HQ each morning.
Phase 1 – Training & Onboarding
- Wednesday–Friday
- Approximately 15–20 hours per week
- Full 1-to-1 shadow training and mentoring
- Gradually introduced to working independently
Phase 2 – Fully Competent
Once fully trained and confident, there will be an opportunity to expand to Monday–Friday, providing increased hours and a more consistent weekly schedule.
Typical Initial Shift Times
- Wednesday: approximately 9:30am–3:30pm
- Thursday: approximately 8:30am–4:00pm
- Friday: approximately 10:30am–4:30pm
Duties & Key Responsibilities
- Carry out thorough domestic cleaning of kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas and other residential spaces
- Maintain consistently high standards of cleanliness, detail and organisation
- Use professional eco-friendly cleaning products and sustainable cleaning techniques
- Safely travel between client homes using a company e-bike
- Communicate professionally with clients and understand their individual cleaning requirements
- Assist with occasional light household tasks, such as loading or unloading a dishwasher, where requested and within the agreed service
- Clean, maintain and correctly store all cleaning equipment and supplies
- Follow company cleaning procedures, health and safety requirements and lone-working guidelines
- Work in an environmentally responsible and sustainable manner
- Represent Eco Clean Exeter professionally at all times
Requirements & Desirable SkillsEssential
- Previous professional cleaning experience
- Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
- High attention to detail and pride in your work
- Comfortable and confident working independently in clients' homes
- Professional, friendly and respectful when dealing with clients
- Able to manage your time effectively and work to a high standard
- Physically able to stand, bend, lift and carry out cleaning tasks throughout the working day
- Confident and safe riding an e-bike on roads and cycle routes
- Comfortable cycling between client homes in different weather conditions – waterproofs are provided
- Right to work in the UK
- Willing to undergo a Basic DBS check
Desirable
- Knowledge of eco-friendly cleaning products and sustainable cleaning practices
- Experience with deep cleaning, end-of-tenancy cleaning, oven cleaning or carpet cleaning
- An interest in sustainability and environmentally responsible cleaning
