The Role
To provide care in accordance with current best practice, company policies and procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements and relevant regulations under the direction of the Home Manager.
To support and enable residents to maintain their skills and personal interests while delivering person centred care that is tailored to each individual.
To maintain your skills at a current level and complete any training and development required to keep your knowledge and working practices up to date.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure residents are at the heart of care delivery and that their wishes and preferences support and enhance their wellbeing
- Ensure all required care standards are maintained
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of the individuals you support
- Develop effective working relationships with all team members
- Support new care team members in understanding and carrying out their roles
- Maintain accurate documentation on the electronic care system at the point of care delivery
- Support residents to maintain a high standard of personal care, hygiene and physical wellbeing
- Ensure residents’ aids and equipment are maintained, including glasses, wheelchairs and dentures
- Respond immediately to any concerns that may present a risk to the health, safety or wellbeing of residents, visitors or team members
- Administer medication in accordance with CareConcepts policies and procedures
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
- Complete all required mandatory online training courses
- Demonstrate and promote our company values throughout each working day

Experience and Requirements
- Previous experience of working within a care environment
- Previous experience relevant to the role being applied for
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience within a customer facing environment
- Competent IT skills
- A satisfactory DBS check
