Role Overview
An opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join an endoscopy unit, supporting clinical staff and ensuring smooth patient flow throughout the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of patients for endoscopy procedures
- Support nursing staff during procedures
- Provide patient care pre- and post-procedure
- Ensure clinical areas are clean, stocked, and prepared
- Assist with moving and handling patients safely
- Monitor and record basic observations
- Provide reassurance and support to patients
- Maintain high standards of infection control
Requirements
- Previous experience in a clinical or healthcare setting (NHS)
- Endoscopy experience desirable but not essential
- Good interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Flexible and proactive approach to work
