Responsibilities
- Service, and repair garage doors, openers, and associated hardware in accordance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Diagnose faults accurately and perform necessary repairs efficiently to minimise downtime for clients.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal operation of garage door systems.
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out tasks.
- Read and interpret manuals, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams to facilitate accurate work execution.
- Collaborate with clients to explain repairs or installations clearly and provide professional advice on system maintenance.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience in the garage door industry.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques.
- Knowledge of manuals and technical drawings relevant to garage door systems.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail when diagnosing faults or performing installations.
- Valid UK driving licence is essential for travel between sites.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in electrical work or construction trades are desirable but not mandatory.
