Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Kitchen Porter/Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Assist with food preparation tasks under the supervision of senior kitchen staff
- Support cooking activities by preparing ingredients and ensuring smooth kitchen operations
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including washing dishes, utensils, and cookware
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly cleaned, stored, and maintained
- Help with organising stock and supplies to ensure efficient workflow
- Support serving staff during busy service times as needed
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to uphold hygiene standards
- Assist in setting up dining areas and clearing tables when required
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and basic cooking skills are advantageous
- Familiarity with kitchen safety protocols and hygiene standards is preferred
- Experience in customer service or serving roles can be beneficial but is not mandatory
- Enthusiasm for learning new culinary skills and working within a team environment is essential
