Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter/Decorator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint, varnishes, and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail. Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming prior to painting or decorating
- Apply paint, varnish, wallpaper, and other finishes to interior and exterior surfaces
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of quality and safety standards are maintained
- Use a variety of tools and equipment including brushes, rollers, spray guns, and scaffolding as required
- Assist in the planning and execution of decorating projects from start to finish
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress and requirements
- Maintain a clean work environment by clearing away debris and properly storing tools and materials
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction painting or decorating is preferred
- Good command of English language for effective communication
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce neat, professional finishes
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients and team members effectively
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to painting and decorating tasks
