Warehouse & Stock Coordinator / FLT Driver

Salary: £28,000–£32,000 per annum, depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm
Overtime: Regular weekday and weekend overtime available at enhanced hourly rates
The Role
LEVANT is looking for a reliable, organised and proactive Warehouse & Stock Coordinator / FLT Driver to take ownership of the day-to-day running and organisation of our warehouse.
We are an established Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) company based in Leighton Buzzard, supplying, installing, servicing and supporting UPS equipment for customers throughout the UK.
This is a varied, hands-on role combining warehouse operations, stock control, forklift operation, goods in/out and equipment preparation.
A key initial priority will be to help us reorganise and improve our existing warehouse. We want someone who can establish sensible stock locations, improve labelling and stock control, identify what we have and where it is, and then maintain those standards going forward.
Key Responsibilities
· Take ownership of the day-to-day organisation and upkeep of the warehouse
· Organise, label and maintain stock, equipment and storage locations
· Manage stock control, including regular stock checks and reporting stock levels to management
· Operate a forklift truck to safely load and unload deliveries and collections
· Manage goods-in and goods-out, including checking deliveries and maintaining accurate records
· Prepare, check, pack and label UPS equipment and other goods for dispatch
· Book and coordinate courier deliveries and collections
· Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised warehouse
· Proactively identify ways to improve warehouse organisation, storage and stock control
· Carry out general warehouse and logistics duties as required
What We’re Looking For
Essential
· Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence
· Previous warehouse experience
· Good organisational and stock control skills
· Strong attention to detail
· Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
· Comfortable using computers and maintaining accurate records
· Good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
· Ability to work independently and prioritise your own workload
· Good written and verbal communication skills
· A practical, positive and proactive attitude
The Right Person
Experience is important, but we’re equally interested in attitude, initiative and ownership.
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their working environment and enjoys creating order and keeping things organised.
You’ll be the type of person who notices when something isn’t where it should be, sees when stock is running low or spots an area that could work better — and does something about it.
You should be comfortable taking responsibility for your own area without needing constant supervision.
Working Hours & Overtime
Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm
This is a full-time, permanent position.
Regular overtime opportunities are available both during the week and at weekends, paid at enhanced hourly rates.
We are ideally looking for someone who is happy to work additional hours when required.
