Here at Doddington, we pride ourselves on our food and hospitality. Our team of chefs produce sensational dishes using the best of the local and seasonal produce available to them including fresh fruit, vegetables and salad from our very own Kitchen Garden; beef from our herd of Lincoln Red cattle and game from the estate, as well as produce from the local area.
Working as part of a dedicated team you will be responsible for maintaining high cleanliness standards within our busy kitchens which include a very busy cafe, award-winning restaurant and wedding venue. You will also need to ensure both the kitchen and front of house teams have the utensils and pots they require. You must have the ability to work well under pressure using your own initiative.

- Storage Management: Storage must be organised so that all ingredients are easily accessible.
- Waste Removal: Kitchen Porters empty all trash bins and ensure that all waste is disposed of promptly.
- Basic Food Preparation: If a kitchen is extremely busy, kitchen staff may turn to Porters to perform basic food prep.
- Material Collection: If a chef needs materials or ingredients, Kitchen Porters collect those materials often from the kitchen garden.
- End of the Day Clean-Up: Once a kitchen is closed, Kitchen Porters assist in cleaning to make sure that the kitchen is ready for the next day.
- Equipment Maintenance: All equipment is cleaned and maintained by a Kitchen Porter.
- Following Instructions: Kitchens can be chaotic, so it is important that Porters follow instructions.
