Roller Driver / Groundworker
Location: Manchester (north west covered)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent (lots of over time and night work available)
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Roller Driver to join our growing surfacing team.
The successful candidate will work alongside our tarmac crews, helping deliver high-quality surfacing projects across commercial, industrial and public sector sites.
Responsibilities
- Operating ride-on rollers safely and efficiently.
- Rolling asphalt to the required specification.
- Tidying and preparing edges before and after surfacing.
- Compacting edges and restricted areas using a whacker plate.
- Assisting the surfacing gang with general groundworks when required.
- Carrying out daily checks on plant and reporting any defects.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area.
- Working to a high standard of quality and health & safety.
Requirements
- Previous experience operating rollers on asphalt surfacing projects.
- CPCS or NPORS Roller ticket (preferred).
- Full UK driving licence.
- Good understanding of asphalt compaction techniques.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual and hard-working.
- CSCS card preferred.
