We are looking for an experienced Handyman / Maintenance Operative to join our team on a full-time basis. This role involves carrying out day-to-day maintenance and repair works across a wide variety of properties, including social housing, student accommodation and commercial units.
This is a practical, hands-on role suited to someone who is reliable, organised, and confident dealing directly with tenants.
The Role
- Carry out general maintenance and repair works across multiple properties
- Attend reactive maintenance issues and complete planned works
- Work across different property types (social, student, commercial, etc.)
- Identify faults and complete repairs to a good standard
- Communicate directly with tenants in a professional manner
- Travel between jobs throughout the day
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a handyman is essential
- Strong all-round maintenance skills (the more skills, the better)
- Able to work independently and manage your own workload
- Comfortable dealing with tenants face-to-face
- Full UK driving licence
- Own vehicle (company vehicle provided after successful trial period)
- Own basic tools
Pay & Benefits
- £30,000 per year
- Mileage paid at 45p per mile while using your own vehicle

Working Area
You will be required to travel between Loughborough and Sheffield, covering all areas in between.
