Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Part Time Evening Cleaner Monday to Friday x 2 hours per evening, to join our team at The National Trust, Chartwell, Mapleton Road, Westerham, TN16 1PS . As a key member of our cleaning crew, you will be responsible for ensuring commercial spaces are spotless and well-maintained during evening hours. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of commercial spaces, including floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies
- Ensure all surfaces are sanitized and free of dust, dirt, and debris to meet health and safety standards
- Empty trash bins and dispose of waste responsibly throughout the shift
- Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and notify management when supplies need replenishing
- Follow established safety procedures and use personal protective equipment as required during cleaning tasks
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to supervisors
- Adhere to company policies on confidentiality, security, and cleanliness standards
Experience
- Prior experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops, buffers, and disinfectants
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to completing tasks efficiently
- Good physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and move around for extended periods during shifts
