Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and families? AG Family Support is expanding, and we’re looking for dedicated part time family support workers across East Anglia, willing to work in the Norfolk community, to join our dynamic team.
Applicants must be car owners and flexible to travel to where support takes place. As this role is in the community based, we would expect our team members to be willing to travel up to one hour, if needed, to reach the location of the family. If the role was further away than one hour the support worker could decide if to accept, based on location. Travel time and mileage is paid for all community-based sessions.
As a Family Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in supporting children and families through outreach, child contact supervision, and intensive family support. You'll work both in the community and in family homes, making a tangible difference in their lives. You must be confident to undertake lone working in a family home, once full trained.
All roles are employed positions on a zero-hour contact as demand for our services varies weekly due to family needs so we can’t guarantee minimum hours, however we need available team members as when we are working as part of an assessment, we are often in the family home for 2-3 months, with varying shift lengths. For those wanting longer shifts we do have 12hr shifts available day and night, though not all the time, often as the early stages of an overall assessment, and these are optional. With all our work you can choose which work to accept.
Previous work with families is essential and an Enhanced DBS will be required for this role. owning a computer is essential too as this role involves report writing in MS Word
Salary is £14 weekdays, £15 Saturdays and £16 Sundays.
Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
