About the Role
We are looking for compassionate, resilient, and motivated Residential Child Care Workers to join our dedicated team supporting children and young people aged 10–21 with complex emotional, behavioural, and learning needs.
You will play a key role in providing high-quality care, promoting positive outcomes, building trusting relationships, and supporting young people to achieve their potential in a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people.
- Promote safety, wellbeing, and positive development.
- Build therapeutic relationships based on trust, understanding, and respect.
- Act as a key worker and maintain care plans and records.
- Support participation in education, hobbies, family time, and community activities.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Attend training and contribute to continuous improvement within the service.
About You
- Passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people.
- Resilient, caring, and committed to delivering excellent support.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of child-centred practice, attachment, trauma, and neurodiversity.
- Previous experience in childcare, residential care, social care, or a related field is desirable.
- SVQ Level 3 or HNC in Social Care is desirable but not essential. We welcome candidates willing to work towards qualifications.
