We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Office Administrator to support a growing, fast-paced business. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, supporting customers and internal teams from initial enquiry through to order completion.
This is more than a standard admin role—you’ll be instrumental in maintaining efficiency, delivering excellent service, and helping the business scale.
There is strong potential for the role to develop into a managerial position as the company continues to develop.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing enquiries via telephone, email, and in person, delivering excellent customer service
- Preparing quotations, processing sales and purchase orders, maintaining accurate records within internal systems
- Ensure that all sales and purchase orders are 100% accurate and processed within the required target deadlines.
- Preparing orders for delivery, ensuring all relevant documentation is in place
- Following up on outstanding transactions such as purchase orders and invoices
- Efficient filing of all relevant electronic and hard copy documentation to ensure full traceability of all business transactions
- Highlighting opportunities to streamline and improve administrative processes for greater operational efficiency
- Work collaboratively with Sales Manager and the wider sales team, to achieve sales targets and drive customer service excellence.
- To manage customer accounts effectively, ensuring work is prioritised appropriately.
- Work both individually and as part of a team to ensure KPI’s are met and exceeded.
- Develop and maintain working relationships that provide excellent customer service.
- To adopt a ‘one team’ approach to all work activity, building strong and collaborative relationships.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy
- High capability in use of various IT software packages, essential for Microsoft Office 365
- Proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills
- Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
- High levels of integrity and discretion
- Team player with a collaborative mindset
- Highly motivated with a positive 'can do' attitude
- Excellent time and project management skills
Desirable
- Previous experience in engineering, logistics, or similar sectors
- Previous experience in an administration role
- Excellent organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
- Relevant qualifications in business administration
- Supervisory experience with the ability to lead a team effectively.
- Full Driving Licence
Salary
- Full Time - 38.5 hours p/week (negotiable)
- £26k - £32k (depending on experience)
- Opportunity for progression into a managerial role
