The role of Payroll Assistant:
- Processing holiday requests and managing sickness absence input
- Monthly reports — employee movements, starters and leavers
- Inputting new starters and leavers onto the payroll system
- Timesheet input for weekly and monthly payrolls
- Reconciliation of payrolls
- Assisting with the yearly salary review process
- Processing sickness and statutory payments
- Wage reconciliations for both weekly and monthly payroll
- Processing commissions, bonuses, overtime, and expenses
- Housekeeping of payroll documentation and reports
- Assisting Fleet Manager with administration tasks
The ideal Payroll Assistant:
- Previous payroll experience
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems and procedures
- Understanding of relevant payroll legislation and compliance
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Able to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
