Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role involves supporting pharmacists in dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy. Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists with dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently
- Prepare and package prescriptions in accordance with legal and safety standards
- Maintain accurate records of dispensed medications and patient information
- Provide guidance to patients on medication usage, storage, and potential side effects
- Support inventory management by ordering, receiving, and organising stock supplies
- Ensure the pharmacy environment remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations
- Deliver exceptional patient care by answering queries and offering support in a professional manner
Expectations
- Previous experience as a pharmacy dispenser or in a similar role
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy operations
- Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a caring attitude towards patients
