EPS Tutorial Services is a long-established tutoring centre in Handsworth Wood with over 35 years' experience preparing children for grammar school entrance, specialising in 11+ preparation for the Birmingham consortium (GL assessment). We are recruiting a reliable, committed Year 3 teacher for our weekday classes. The full role is set out below.
The Role
We are looking for a reliable, committed teacher to deliver our weekday Year 3 class. You would teach our own fully developed, professionally authored 11+ curriculum. All lesson materials, classwork, and homework are provided and prepared for you. There is no lesson planning required: your focus is entirely on excellent teaching and getting the best from every child.
You would teach alongside another teacher or teaching assistant, and we would expect you and your colleague to be able to cover one another in the event of any absence, so that classes always run smoothly for our families.
Location: Handsworth Wood, Birmingham (in person)
Days & times: Thursday and Friday, 4:15pm to 6:15pm
Trial pay: £25 per hour during the paid trial period
On appointment: £30 per hour once confirmed in the role
Additional hours: Further sessions and progression genuinely available for the right person.

- Key Stage 2 teaching experience or above
- Reliability and commitment. You understand that families depend on consistency
- Strong classroom presence and the ability to keep young learners focused and on-pace
- A professional, positive attitude and genuine care for children's progress
- Comfortable delivering structured, pre-prepared material to a high standard
