We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Operations Team Leader to manage our production team and provide effective day-to-day leadership and guidance. Working closely with the Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising, motivating, and developing team members while ensuring operational targets and performance standards are consistently achieved.
This role requires an active, hands-on leader who can work in a fast-paced environment, lead by example, and drive team performance through strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set clear team objectives and performance expectations.
- Delegate tasks effectively and manage deadlines.
- Oversee daily operational activities to ensure smooth workflow and productivity.
- Monitor team performance and report on operational metrics and KPIs.
- Motivate, support, and develop team members.
- Identify training needs and provide coaching where required.
- Resolve daily operational issues, employee concerns, and workplace conflicts promptly and professionally.
- Encourage continuous improvement and accountability within the team.
- Create a positive and inspiring team environment with an open communication culture.
- Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
Requirements & Skills
- Proven experience as a Team Leader, Supervisor, or in a similar leadership role.
- Strong understanding of performance metrics and KPI management.
- Experience working to time-sensitive deadlines in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Good PC and systems skills.
- Previous experience within a distribution centre, warehouse, or logistics operation.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to make decisions, solve problems, and manage priorities effectively.
- A proactive, energetic, and hands-on approach to leadership.
