Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Teacher to join either our main Alternative Provision (AP) or any of our other 2 main functions
- Daytime in person tutoring at AP
- After school tutoring in person or online
- Daytime international tutoring online.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, supporting students with diverse needs, and fostering a positive learning environment. Duties
- Plan and deliver tailored lessons that meet individual student needs, including those with disabilities or autism.
- Support students in developing academic skills through creative teaching methods, including creative writing and interactive activities.
- Provide mentoring and tutoring to help students achieve their full potential across various subjects.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external specialists to develop personalised education plans.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, maintaining accurate records of achievements and areas for improvement.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, independence, and confidence among all learners.
- Use effective communication skills to engage students and facilitate their understanding of lesson content.
- Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and behavioural needs.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and stay updated with current educational standards.
Skills
- Proven experience working with children, particularly those with disabilities or special educational needs such as autism.
- Strong understanding of special education principles and inclusive teaching strategies.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or autism is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that incorporate creative writing and other innovative approaches.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor, tutor, and motivate students across diverse backgrounds.
- Organised, adaptable, and committed to fostering a positive learning environment that encourages student growth.
- Passionate about inclusive education with a genuine desire to support every learner’s success.
