Snowdrop Home Care is looking for caring, reliable and compassionate Day Sit Care Assistants to provide dedicated support to a client in their own home.
This role is based at one location, meaning you will travel to one place of work for your shift rather than commuting between multiple clients throughout the day.
The available day sit shifts are:
- 10:00am–2:00pm
- 3:00pm–8:00pm
Whether you already have experience in care or are looking for a rewarding new career, we would love to hear from you. No previous care experience is required, as full training, shadowing and ongoing support will be provided.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
- Is caring, compassionate and patient.

- Has excellent communication and people skills.
- Can provide companionship and reassurance.
- Works well independently while remaining part of a supportive care team.
- Is flexible and able to work alternate weekends.
- Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to their own vehicle.
Your Role
As a Day Sit Care Assistant, you will provide one-to-one support and companionship within the client's own home.
Your duties may include:
- Providing companionship and emotional support.
- Supporting the client with their daily routine.
- Assisting with personal care while maintaining dignity and respect.
- Preparing meals, snacks and drinks.
- Encouraging good nutrition and hydration.
- Supporting with medication where required.
- Assisting with mobility and maintaining the client's safety.
- Completing light household tasks.
- Providing reassurance and helping the client remain comfortable and independent.
- Completing digital care records accurately.
- Communicating with family members, colleagues and healthcare professionals where appropriate.
- Reporting any changes or concerns to the management team.
Most importantly, you will be providing consistent, person-centred support and helping the client remain safe, comfortable and happy in their own home.
