An excellent opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual, to join the Royal Veterinary College, Queen Mother Hospital for Animals as a Veterinary Infection Control Assistant. We are a multidisciplinary small animal veterinary referral hospital, and, in this role, you will be required to maintain a high standard of infection prevention and control across all clinical areas of the hospital reporting to the Veterinary Infection Control Manager.
As part of the team, you will be a clinical cleaner working alongside our friendly and experienced Registered Veterinary Nurses, Patient Care Assistants, Veterinary Surgeons, Residents, Interns and Students. You will be a supportive and compassionate team player, with excellent organisational and record keeping abilities.
Duties will include:

Daily decontamination of clinical areas (high level clinical cleaning)

Stock rotation and supply to all hospital areas.

Assisting teams with the transportation of infectious patients throughout the hospital maintaining infection control protocols

Supporting compliance and training of infection prevention and control standards within clinical areas
